On October 10, 2023, the University of Iceland hosted the first workshop of the BriZE consortium and officers. The event focused on the interdisciplinary research and development cooperation between Iceland and Greece, as well as ongoing studies and future potentials. After a brief presentation of the research partners and the EEA grants, important technical issues of the project were analyzed such as the installation of green desalination unit at Kimolos Island with integrated innovative technology of brine treatment, the chemistry of Icelandic natural waters and the Hellenic Orogenic Arc: Geothermy, Tectonic Geomorphology and Geohazards.
